A quick note from New York City

A self-portrait from the observatory of the Empire State Building. The camera is above me in my beanie and sunglasses with midtown Manhattan acting as a backdrop

The American poet, Emily Dickinson, once said ‘To live is so startling it leaves little time for anything else’. I have been so startled by life in Washington, DC, Philadelphia, and New York City these last few days I’ve had little time to write; this is my meagre offering to let you know I’m still alive and well. The photograph is a self-portrait on the balcony of the eighty-sixth floor of the Empire State Building. Many more photos and their related thoughts will follow when I find the time.
